| Dick Dale, Dublin, 30 August 1996: An unforgettable night! |
On the 30 August 1996 I went to see Dick Dale at The Mean Fiddler (now the Opium Rooms) in Dublin's Wexford Street. At the time he was riding on a wave of media interest after his music featured on the soundtrack of a Quentin Tarantino movie. The gig was incendiary and totally unforgettable.
Dick has battled many health problems over the years, yet now at 81 years of age he shows no signs of frailty. The show below was recorded in Hollywood in June 2018 and displays how talented the man is. Dick Dale you are a living legend!
