Pain Is A Message To Change

My pain
It is a stain
On my heart
Oh my heart!
I feel it beating
Hard in my chest
But the feelin' ain't nice
I suffer in pain
My troubles
Take me down
Down to a place
That I don't wanna go
But maybe
Maybe that is a place
We need to go
We need to feel
Feel the pain
So we can know
How we have fallen
When we feel
Feel the shame
It causes us pain
That pain
Can really hurt
Hurt us bad
But don't you see
There is a way
Through the thicket
You are hurting within
That thicket
Seems harsh and tough
No way out?
But look, see around
The problems on your lap
Do something, yes do something
About your situation
Look around, size it up
How bad are you in
Is it really that tough?
You can find a way
If you really try
Find a way out of your thicket
Of problems, of troubles
Take a breath
Have a think
Nothing really stinks that bad
So go and work and get back
Your mojo
Find your abilities
Don't succumb to disabilities
Cos your strong
So much stronger than
You thought
Go and find that solution
But it was the pain
That started your train
Of thoughts
That pain hurts
But now, can't you see
It has given you a spurt
Go forth and give birth
The new you is ready
Go and taste the dew
Cos tomorrow is a new day
And you will rise like yeast
Go East and slay yer beast
Your pain is dying
And you are trying
Life is for the taking
Your time is nigh!

Drink In The Spirit

When your mood is low
It is time to drink
In the spirit
When you reach your lowest ebb
Draw back
Look for comfort
See what small things can be done
Have a conversation
With a nice person
Search for the positives - they exist for us all
Take a deep drink
Into the spirit
Your spirit needs to awaken

Maybe you have forsaken yourself
Perhaps ignored your self-respect
Done things or said things
That brought shame on you or others
No more!
No more!
No more!
Get out of that way of thinking
Set yourself free
From the pain
You have put yourself in
Get out
Make a plan
See that
A way
Can be found
To rehabilitate our lives
Not simply hide away
But go to a safe place
Plan the future
With love in your heart
And peace of mind
That all will be well

Your spirit is alive
It will keep you alive
Not only to fight ahead
But to taste a famous victory
No celebration tonight, perhaps
But some day soon
The stars will align
Then, my friend, you will wonder
Why was I so gloomy and depressed?
Like the flick of a switch
Your spirit can lighten up your space
So go now and work on building up
Your case
And you will see your life improve
Take one step
Go on, that's all it takes
For your spiritual journey to begin
And your life to brighten up akin

Anger

It is the liquid
Flowing through
My blood
Dashing around
My veins
Not water
You see
It is Anger
My anger
Spells a visceral
Discharging of bullets
From my heart
The neglect
Perceived or real
From those
Who I thought respected
My work
Not of me personally
That is a given
Everyone gets respected as a person

Yet the anger rests
It remains strong
Deep in my heart
At those who fail
Or at least refuse
To recognise
That I may have some skill
To offer society
Not a DJ?
Not a Poet?
'God no, we can't let him in
To our circle'
The rejection hurt me
It pained me deep
But I am through this now
No longer do I care so much
For others who don't do so about me
I will ignore their pleas
For they never gave me such recognition
That I could actually do something
Apart from join the club
Or take a drink
Or smoke something
The days when I simply toed the line
And followed the crowd
Are over
I am my own man
Really, I was all along
But I know this now to be true
I am a leader among men
A follower, not
So follow me for a change
Cos I'm not goin' to follow your party
I got my own life to run
I don't need others
To keep me happy
Others will come to me in time
I am a leader

This anger has propelled me
It has taken me to dark places
Places I am uncomfortable talking about
Places that shame me and still cause me upset
For I cannot talk openly
About some troubles on my mind
But my opinions
Do matter
They are valid
Though they do not need to be aired
Or written about
I have the angriest moods
Yet I am a kind and gentle fellow
Who sees a lot of wrong
Going down in this town
I cannot ignore
But know that it would only bore
To go on about the badness
That pervades

So my anger
I will channel this anger
Bring it into my artistic style
So I can carve some beautiful
Linguistic ornaments
For others to marvel at
Instead of screaming
The hate out
And destroying
Others with my bile
I will use my anger
In a positive way
Keep my toxic views
And opinions
To myself
So that others
Can live and breath
Peacefully

My anger is a precious gift
I will use it wisely
As it beats through
My system
Flowing out of my heart
Through my veins
But never in vane
My anger will be with me
But It will not be me
I choose to use it in this way
So others will see
There is a decent man
Alongside the hatred
I love, yet hate rejection
This is my pain
The epicentre
Of my anger
So I will rise
Like a phoenix
Out of the ashes of my rage
To hit the page
And escape the stages
That have damaged
My abilities
Use my anger
Not let it use me
As I continue
To move and groove
Shuffle and hustle
Away from the crowd
On my own
On my own terms

My anger will take me
But it won't break me
Honey, I'm strong
This anger ain't wrong
I just need the release
In order to be free
So my anger pours
Like rain
Coming down down down
But not on anyone
Instead I will use it
My anger will not abuse
For I will flow like
A bird over rooftops
Like water gushing through a pipe
Like fire burning up a chimney
My anger is my energy
Baby don't worry
I ain't in a hurry
This anger is my curry
So that's it
My statement is clear
Now time to get outta here.

Anyway here's the first one and it's called Move Outta Their Judgement. Hope you'll enjoy the sounds and that you'll consider subscribing to my Mixcloud Select page where I will be exclusively posting these mixes. Cheers, Iano.

A sensual hug whilst waiting for a bus

I ask you to lower
Your voices
At the bus stop
Ladies both, you get angry
At my request this night
'Why are you asking us to be quiet?'
They query me in irritation
I reply there's people needing peace
In this street
But it is a busy street, late at night
Plenty of people about
I just want to tell these girls to keep it a bit quieter
Then the bus comes

But only one of the belles takes the ride
The other - to my eyes, more beautiful - remains at the stop
Fiery eyes turn on me
'Why did you say those words?', she again wants to know of me
'We were out, trying to enjoy and....'
I tell her to clean her uniform and put it in the wash
I give out to her as if I were her mum
Suddenly she again approaches me
'I am a lesbian, this is very upsetting for me', she says
Immediately, I beckon her over
Apologising for my harsh words
We hug closely and I feel her body on mine
A beautiful moment

I pull away, but
She wants another hug
We grasp our bodies closer
Full of love from mine to hers and vice versa
It is amazing how much love can be transferred
From two people during an embrace
I want to be with this piece of beauty forever, I am thinking
As I hold her in my arms, full of feeling
'Oh god, what a beautiful lesbian', I think to myself
'I want to fuck this woman', as my lips quickly kiss her soft neck
But she - as all females do - evaluates the situation, in real time
Before any further action is permitted
'You are lovely, god you are my type...So gorgeous...But...
You would not be able for me...'

And with that this figure of stunning female beauty leaves me
As the gentleman I am, I did not impede her path
Sad now, that my night will not be spent with her
But glad that she is a wonderful, fantastic lady
Who I respect so much more
For being her and not just out for a quick fuck
Cos that might bring bad luck on us both
So I salute you beautiful woman
Who I hope to see again
But if I never do, or if you never wish to do
I will always cherish that hug, that sensual feeling
You gave me and I gave you this night

If you get married to your girlfriend
I would be more than honoured to be your best man at the wedding
And give you away
Moreover, I hope the two of you have kids
And don't let them ever hit the skids
Keep hugging and please keep that sensual feeling alive
We need that in our lives
Thank you Miss, you allowed me give you this love in my heart
And I felt yours
Thank you

Finding Beauty In Us All

 A heart that thief had?
The murderer was a human?
The child abuser once a child?
The wife assaulter has some part of heart in him?
There is beauty within
It lies deep within
Us all
We can look at someone in the eyes
See a forest of wonder before us
A cascade of delight and beauty
But, that person could be hiding
Hiding something deep
We know not the secrets that lie below
But obvious
To hate or despise
A transgressor
A bastard of crime
A time laggard
Someone who is low
But look!
Do please look
A bit deeper lies the truth
All of us hold close
A dose of decency
So don't hold people back
Just cos they appear to be tacks
These folks are all of us
We are them
Defaulters us all
None of us entirely pure
Do look a bit closer
And you will see clearer
The dear dear hearts we all possess
So don't go throwin' a hand full of rocks
Don't fire that gun in anger
Blast that person in quick judgement
We all have the fault
A human one
We were built to the hilt
With these in our souls
To know that one is all
And all is one
Is the best we can do
To lead our lives true
So don't go hatin'
Or miseratin'
Go forth and love and understand
That no man is perfect
Perfection is no man
We are all bits of the whole
And that is crucial to know

Agendas

This one concerns the selfishness we all possess. You think someone is your friend but they have their own agenda. They are only interested in their fun. Business people are the worst. They only want your money and don't give a shit about you once you pay up. Acquaintances only interested in their own. Great fun one day when your around. The next day don't seem the same. We need to be honest. Everyone has an agenda, of course. But we also need to see the bigger picture. When I come up against arrogant, selfish pricks it only makes me stronger. Read on....

He's got an agenda
He takes my tend-a
My bill makes him chill-a
But only when I pay
He's got a lotta beer der
In his fat ole sack
But he won't share a drop
Cos he's got his own agenda
He will send ya
Off his turf
Especially if you don't cough up da dough
Only interested in gettin' his bread
Not bothered about your loaf
Arrogant and selfish, that's him to de core
He's got an agenda - you're not part of it
Unless he says so
He wants yer money
But that's it
He's got his hits
And that's his bit
You can't offer
Him anything that will help him
Only money will do to further his causes
This man is too proud
To out reach his hand
To say when he needs
A little more than greed
Cos he's a businessman
That's his plan
And your not part of his agenda
He wanna get his benda
Don't care if you are mended
Dis dude wants to prove
That he is strong on his own
So leave him alone
Don't feed his addiction
That money affliction
Please, if you ever
Come across such selfish folk
One lesson they will learn
Perhaps is to cease
Stop feeding their collection of tenders
Cos your only helpin' der agenda
And doin' nothin' for your value
Next time say fuck off
To the selfish fella
Who fucks you with his patter
And don't then want to chatter
Fuck him and his selfish ways
Better let him on with his agenda
Leave him to his spenders
Instead work on your agenda
And stay away from bendas!
